Kerala Travel Mart 2018, the tenth edition of the state’s premier B2B tourism event, was held from September 27 to 30 at the Samudrika Convention Centre, Kochi. Despite Kerala recently facing one of the worst floods in its history, KTM 2018 sent a strong message of resilience and revival. The event saw participation from over 1,600 international and domestic buyers representing 66 countries, along with 325 exhibitors from Kerala’s tourism sector. The Mart showcased the state’s full recovery and reaffirmed its standing as one of the most sought-after destinations for nature, wellness, and cultural tourism.

A major highlight of KTM 2018 was the promotion of Northern Kerala—particularly Malabar—as an emerging tourism region. Special emphasis was also placed on adventure tourism, responsible travel, Ayurveda and wellness, and heritage trails. The event featured curated FAM tours, cultural showcases, and panel discussions focused on sustainable practices and digital transformation in tourism. KTM 2018 stood as a testament to Kerala’s ability to bounce back stronger, with its tourism stakeholders united in their commitment to offer safe, authentic, and high-quality travel experiences to the world.
